Spititually, salvation means to have your sins forgiven and to have your relationship with God restored. The result is that your will spend eternity in heaven, not in hell. It is very simple, so simple that many people cannot accept it. It is based on faith. It is simple, because Jesus Christ does all the work. The good news is that God loves you and wants you to save you from your sin. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16) Anybody can get saved, anywhere and at any time.
The Bible says:
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. (Romans 3:10-11)
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Romans 3:23)
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; (Acts 3:19)
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God (1 John 5:13)
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9-10)
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)
"Dear Jesus, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that you shed your precious blood for me, died on the cross for my sin and rose from the grave the third day. I am willing to turn from my sin. Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and ask You to forgive me of my sins and prepare for me a new heart. I surrender my life to You. I now invite You to come into my heart and life as my personal saviour. Amen."
